The Uncovering 4-Day Experiential Workshop

Objective for 2020:
Together, with our local, qualified leadership team of 20, create a 4-day event, in Pretoria, South Africa, for people who struggle with the damage of pornography and sex addiction and their partners, to provide recovery insights and a place where broken people, in community, can experience God’s love and transforming grace.
What to Expect:
The Uncovering is partnering with a qualified leadership team of 20, from South Africa, to together create a 4-day experiential, transformational event. This opportunity will be provided for 80 men and women, who struggle with the damage of sex addiction, pornography and their wounded partners. We will provide recovery experience, healing opportunities and a place where broken people, in community, can experience vulnerability, story, empathy and acceptance. In this process we expect you to experience hope and tools for progressive freedom, as you have an encounter with God’s infinite love, His power and His amazing grace.
This life-changing event will be hosted at the Waterberg Game Lodge, Bela Bela, north of Pretoria, South Africa.

Your cost for the 4 days lodging and meals, are R2500 per person. This opportunity is limited to the first 80 persons that make a full payment at the following website link. Opportunities pass, so register early! This includes room and board for the 4 days, 3 overnights, 8 meals, with a Saturday Braai and multiple tea breaks. Bunk beds, men with men and women with women. This workshop includes many qualified leaders and decades of recovery experiences that will be shared in large group teachings and small intensive grace groups.
Understanding your story, the importance of rigorous honesty, a willing to work approach to recovery, understanding God’s work of grace, goal setting, freedom through forgiveness, the foundation of self-love, the power of grace and acceptance, transforming our minds through affirmation, finding new life/redemption and the importance of helping others as a result of personal healing.
This unique experience is for adults age 20 and over, who are seeking hope for recovery from the damage of pornography and sex addiction and healing from their core wounds. This event is also for spouses and partners who have their own wounds or hurts and have the desire to find personal healing and identify their own issues and find hope and healing.
Event begins Thursday the 24th, at 6:00pm, with registration and will conclude by 4pm on Sunday, the 27th. Each day and evening will be full and intense, be ready for needing Monday to recover! Each day you will experience the power and healing of small group sharing, with a qualified leader. The Uncovering small group process is where deep healing from shame can happen, with a trusted leader and other empathetic, same sex participants.
Starting with Thursday evening dessert, then Friday breakfast, 8 Meals total, including a Saturday braai, 4 Teatime snacks (2 on Friday + 2 on Saturday, ending with Sundays lunch and Teatime snacks.
Hosted by Brian and Kim Fowler, Holland Michigan USA. Brian has over 28 years of sex addiction recovery experience, he founded and launched The Uncovering in 2008, leading many men on their recovery journey. Brian is on the Celebrate Recovery leadership team as a Training Coach, Teacher and Open Share Group leader, with Central Wesleyan Church. Kim is the Creative Director and on the Executive Team, at Central Wesleyan Church. Their life journey’s of healing and the work God has done in their own marriage, gives them a passion and calling to help others.
- This event is Jesus centered and based on Biblical principles, but is open to all faiths or no faith persons.
- We recommend all participants have a support group before and after the event, to process their healing journey.
- Men will room with men and women with women. Also, all small groups will be same sex. (Bunk Beds Provided)
- Please inform us of any specific dietary restrictions.
- Any person with a mental health issue needs to notify us and provide a professional referral and recommendation to attend.
- Each person will be expected to sign a liability release form as well as a confidentiality and anonymity agreement form, to keep all persons and shared stories private, within the event attendees. This creates a safe place for everyone to share lifestories vulnerably, that they may have never shared before.
- Please respect everyone by being on-time and attending with a full commitment to participation and honesty. Please only attend with a full intention to complete the event.

R2500 per person. R1000 deposit, to hold your spot and balance to be paid in full by August 31, 2020.
Payment full or deposit, would only be refunded for an extreme family trauma, to be determined by our leadership team.
