The Uncovering Vision Statement:
To carry the message of hope and freedom from sexual addiction to the world.
The Uncovering Mission Statement:
To use our experiences to benefit others. To train leaders in areas of the world, where they are hungry for hope and freedom from sexual addiction and are looking for tools and knowledge that will support them in helping others.
We believe hearts and minds are changed by the power of God, as people cooperate by faith, ask, seek and knock. We believe Jesus is God, that He is the one true higher power and that He is the way, the truth, and the life. We believe the Bible is God’s written Word, His story of grace, love, and truth. We believe people change as they enter into honesty, confession, humility, vulnerability, healthy relationships and desire change more than the same old life. We believe we are called to be light and salt in this world, to promote unity and show love to all people. We believe we are called to show the unconditional love and grace of the Father to all. We believe we are called to help broken men and struggling marriages find healing. We strive to help men protect their heart and mind against the dangers of pornography, provide healing from sexual brokenness, and empower individuals to live in sexual integrity and healthy marriages. We believe in confidentiality and anonymity; these are high values that we adhere to. We are a faith-based, nondenominational ministry seeking to help the hurting and the humble.
THEME VERSE: ISAIAH 61:1-3
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor."
